setting home/origin and more - xwarx7racer - 2018-08-29 Finally getting back to the TwoUp I bought several years ago! I'm using Octopi with a PI3. Moved the head to a corver and gave the G92 command, then M14 but it didn't return the anticipated 0. I couldn't get a simple shape to make the head move. I didn't have the extruder on nor any filiment in place for testing, but when it did move it crashed into the ends even with the max limits set (175 for x/y and 120 for z). Basically, any help to get the thing setup would be great! Furthermore, I have the pdf build files if anyone needs them or I could post them if allowed. RE: setting home/origin and more - MisterAcoustic - 2018-08-30 Hi xwarx7racer, Sadly, I've never used an Octopi. A friend from work set one up for his Creality CR-10, but I don't know anything about it. My main experience is with Repetier Host, and Cura. If one of those is running on the Octopi, I might be of more use, but I can't tell from your post. In general, I don't think setting up your machine size in these softwares actually results in generated commands that don't exceed those bounds (though I may be wrong). I think the setup is more for visualization of model placement. I have been a bit busy, but I will try to do a little research to see if I can put together enough knowledge to make some decent suggestions. Stan |
