I don't remember if profiles allow urls, but those can be a clue too. MLM sites, adult toys or meds, gurus, kitchen cabinets (there was a big spammer with a crappy kitchen cabinet shop in Manchester), etc. kinda give them away. In that case you want to delete or modify the profile, which can interact with banning

Hi All,
I deleted a user who registered as Shammi999 (or similar).
In my investigation, I did not find any association this person might have with maker or 3D printing interests - but I did find numerous indications that this was a known forum spammer.
Just trying to keep the noise to a minimum
